President
Matt is the current president of NFS, assuming the role in 2021. Previously, he served in other roles from 2016-2020, starting as a finance consultant, then moving to director of finance, and lastly executive VP. Matt is responsible for all areas of operations and finance for the business, including capital raises, lending, and external financial resources for NFS and affiliated entrepreneurs we partner with. Matt is a Decatur, IL, native and graduate of St. Teresa High School. He attended Richland Community College and Illinois State University, where he studied business administration. After returning from ISU, he began his professional career in sales and sales management for more than seven years. Before aligning with NFS, Matt was with PNC Bank in Central Illinois for 11 years. He worked in consumer, business, and commercial banking. Matt is very active in the local community and involved in various charitable events.
Christian Olson
Vice President of Business Development
Christian joined NFS as VP of business development in 2021. Prior to, he earned an AA, BS, and MBA. As of 2024, Christian has four years of experience in the food and beverage industry, including involvement with the QAQC Program at ADM. Christian intends to help grow NFS exponentially through calculated decision making and strategic business development planning practices. Christian looks forward to working with you to establish a foundational partnership from the very first conversation. Through attention to detail, mutually beneficial collaboration, and transparency, he intends to help grow your business with the manufacturing services NFS can provide for your food products. Christian is involved in the local community as a mentor with RAMP (Richland Alumni Mentorship Program) for college students. Outside of work, Christian enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and dog. He keeps active with hobbies like weightlifting, biking, hiking, golfing, hunting, and fishing.
Jeff Hachenberg
Production Manager
Jeff joined NFS as production manager in 2022. He brings over 20 years of experience in production management to our organization. Before NFS, Jeff worked for the Macon County Sheriff’s Department and for Syngenta Seeds as production manager. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his grandchild and wife. He looks forward to running your product to the highest standard.
Patrick Johnson
Quality Manager
Patrick joined NFS as quality manager in 2023. He brings over 20 years of experience in food safety to our organization. He has experience with sous-vide, extrusion, candy and confectionery, frozen foods, corn syrup, ethanol, and CO2 products. He carries certifications in PCQI, Advanced HAACP, and FSSC. Patrick has set high goals to ensure safe and high-quality products.
Samantha Danbury
Executive Assistant
Sam joined NFS in 2021 as a quality technician. Within the same year, she gravitated to an administrative role becoming the management team’s executive assistant and chief office organizer. She is an avid animal lover and always brings a positive presence to our fast-paced environment, which helps keep team morale high.
