DECATUR — National Foodworks Services, LLC, a food-processing center and co-packing facility headquartered in Decatur, is pleased to announce the formation of Heart of America Foodworks, Ltd.
HOAF is a nonprofit that will explore collaborations with local food banks and charities to assist with its mission to distribute nutritious food products to under-served communities throughout Central Illinois and the Midwest.
National Foodworks Services Partners Tony Caccomo will serve as president and Mark Nicholas will serve as treasurer. Nicholas is the managing partner of Insight CPAs and Financial, LLC and Summit Tax and Accounting, LLC in Bloomington and Decatur.
Hemp is the former president of the board and co-founder of Decatur Is Growing Gardeners (DIGG), Inc.
Cooper, pastor of Church of the Living God, PGT Temple No. 1, retired from Caterpillar after 32 years.
Tucker is the director of the Culinary Arts Institute at Richland Community College.
Heart of America Foodworks, Ltd is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit entity, which will accept tax-deductible donations of cash, equipment and products to supplement the mission to aid food banks and charities.
